I see.
You should definitely be given admin powers. But this will need to be accomplished by Act of the Assembly and not by mere precedent. Why? because there is already an act on the books documenting who gets what access, and that act(s) currently does not provide for the chief justice having access.
nate had access, of course, since he was the original maker of these boards. that was a purely coincedental thing.
But know this--having admin priveledges means that one can carry out criminal investigations of records and such, and manipulate the forum layout, etc. these are by convention executive branch functions, and it is not a good idea to put them in the hands also of the judicial branch. checks-and-balances. however carson does neeed access to all the forums to ensure that someone is banned as a result of punishment, to censor cuss words, etc. etc.
what ya'll have taken for granted under nate must now be set in law for carson to enjoy--with stipulations. stipulations like:
1. judicial branch officials may not carry out executive-branch-like investigations through their admin status through the chief justice
2. judicial branch officials may not abuse their judicial powers to effectively run lavalon by way of their admin status through the chief justice
3. only the chief justice, and not associate justices, may have admin access
isn't there some "global moderator" status that is almost like an admin but not entirely? that might work too.
and of course in the event of a national crisis or severe lack of activity the chief justice should be empowered to assume more powers. perhaps a "low activity" trigger could be added to the legislation.
