In any case, Nate, this could be an experiment to prove to those who believe that all micronations are just oligarchies that Lavalon actually functions as a democracy. We do already, but having parties and such just makes it more real.

The Liberal Democratic Party is taking steps toward eliminating government-sanctioned simulation from Lavalon with the proposal of the M.C.S. Withdrawal Bill currently working its way through the General Assembly.

What exactly do you mean by "government simulation"?

Government-sanctioned simulation. Simulation that is backed by and involves the government.

Why, yes. I based the form of standardization on the correspondence courses I take from the American School of Lansing, Illinois; which happens to be the first ever correspondence school established in the USA. The system was created to allow students to take courses with as little interference from a teacher as possible. It also allowed for a student to work at his or her own pace, without deadlines being set for compleation.

Your Excellency Regent Christophe,
This is not a college, though, correct?

Your Excellency, On another subject, your correspondence schooling sounds very interesting. Would you care to share about your experiences?

This does not answer my question, but I don't know if I worded my question very well. I don't feel the need to prod for a better answer, considering that I believe I have discovered what you mean by "simulation" in regards to Lavalon.
And when did this turn into a trial? That sounds an aweful lot like a cross question asked in the middle of tearing your opposing council's witness apart. (I'm active in my school's Mock Trial team as a lawyer. I'm so full of legalese that I've been quoting from the case material and using case law when I get into arguments. lol)

It never did. I was merely asking him a question that would help me make my case. That is what politics is, debating, yes?
You're in mock trial? Cool. I do debate. Care to share about your cases?

No, it is not a college, and, frankly the University of Lavalon isn't either.

No, it is not a college, and, frankly the University of Lavalon isn't either. On that I must disagree. The University of Lavalon, even if not in a traditional college atmosphere, offers typical college courses and the courses are taught just as college courses are.

It's a college alright, but one whose degrees will probably meet no acceptance outside the "borders" of Lavalon. Mr. Klaas can teach geopolitics all day long here, and we can all become as smart as Kissinger, but that won't do any good for say, getting a job with the US government or teaching in a real college in the US.

Our case is "Biotex Labs, LLC vs Animal Rights Foundation" Biotex was creating a topical spray to neutralize sarin gas and was testing it on animals (humanely) but the ARF decided to post a website libeling Biotex about how "inhumane" Biotex is. Long story short, ten days after the posting of the site, Biotex's labs were nearly destroyed. The case is whether or not the ARF incited the violence. I'm a lawyer for the prosecution and I compare the ARF to terrorists....shrewdly and effectively. Our competition is tomorrow and I'm going to tell you all how we do. ^_^ This is my first year as a lawyer (and final year in High School. ) but I got Best Witness three years in a row. Fun! I have a very good feeling this year. Our district only has three schools participating and six teams alltogether. (three of them from my school. lol. My team is the best team. We've been in it together from the beginning and have gotten all the awards. Booya!) The three teams we're up against are not that great. One good team and two bad teams (historically. Who knows? They might have an ace up their sleeve), so I feel really jazzed about tomorrow. ^^
