The Liberation Party Charter
To keep the Republic of Lavalon a free and ideal state, untouched by the taint of taxation, and undue regulation we found the Liberation Party. To insure Lavalonian values for years to come we of the Libertarian Party will forever rally behind these founding points.
1. To keep Lavalon free of undue regulation
2. To preserve the values on which we founded Lavalon
3. To keep Lavalon free of restrictions of our personal freedoms
4. To actively work to ensure strong and lasting relations with other micronations
5. To reunify Lavalon and Avalonia

Interesting, but I'm not a libertarian.

In practice neither am I, however I have a more libertarian attitude when voting in Lavalon so I decided to form the "libertarian" party.

I'm the same as you, Z, with regards to being a libertarian.
I like pretty much every point on the platform except the last one (Lavalon & Avalonia). There seems to be a misconception. Avalonia was never part of Lavalon, so it did not secede from Lavalon. Xon merely started a new micronation, and it so happens that Jon and I are citizens there too.

The way it was handled it feels more like a sessestion movement.

The mere fact that Xon keeps referring to it as a "movement" or even "The Movement" gives it a revolutionary and seditionary feel. The way you all have handled it also gives it that kind of feeling. And Xon's comments that certain citizens are retaining their Lavalonian citizenships sounds an aweful lot like the type of comments made by revolutionary leaders. From what I've seen, it looks like Xon wants you to renounce your Lavalonian citizenships. In all, it sounds very much like a cessetion.

At this point, I have no plans to renounce my Lavalonian citizenship. Also, I do not agree with the way Xon views it as a secession.

That is utterly ridiculous: Avalonia was never part of Lavalon. How can she have seceded from Lavalon?

Then why does Avalon claim to have Lavalon's culture?

We don't.

You do. Or at least Xon does. If not to keep Lavalon's culture for himself, why else did he leave and form Avalonia? Because he was being suppressed? Hardly. What has he done the past few months other than bitch about how "culturally apathetic" we all are? What has he done the past several months other than bitch about how we refuse to adopt the eucalyptus as our official tree? What is in Avalonia's constitution? Very explicit cultural details. What is included in these very explicit cultural details? The Eucalyptus and everything else that is "historically Lavalon."
Avalonia is a breakaway Lavalonian nation-state. Whether you want to believe it or not, I am of the opinion that Xon broke away from Lavalon in an attempt to drain Lavalon and replace it. The fact that you (Carson) and Jon have retained your Lavalonian citizenships tells me that you still like Lavalon regardless of whether or not you can get your parties' agendas signed. The fact that you have retained your citizenships tells me that Xon has, so far in his endeavor, failed. He may have created an independent state seperate from Lavalon, but Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, and Slovenia will always be Yugoslavia to me.

Hey, guess what, the eucalyptia was never part of Lavalon culture ever. So how are you preserving the culture that was never there?

it was part of the Sovereign Principality. but that government was overthrown, the Republic of Lavalon has never officialized it....
Avalonia is Xon's attempt at recreating the culture of the SP, but establishing it under his terms.
