In good conscious I cannot approve Mr Vasroixe's immigration application, and through discussions with the President, it is unlikely she will approve the application as well. If a majority wants Xon in Lavalon, I will approve his application.

I know where this poll is leading. I know the result, unless some surprise comes along.
I have decided to make Chief Justice Nate Shepard and President Tasneem Chowdhury honorary citizens of the Republic of Avalonia. Don't worry, honorary citizens are under no obligation to accept their citizenship or have the same rights and priveledges as normal citizens.
As for relations with Lavalon, expect them to take a downhill turn because of this. It is only a natural response, of course. Nothing personal.

Relations with Lavalon? AVALONIA HAS NO RELATIONS WITH LAVALON! You are traveling abroad, but that does not mean any sort of relationship exists between our two nations.

Oh, sure we have a relationship, though it may not go along diplomatic conventions or be channeled through the Interior-Exterior Ministry. Like when Lavalon was mad that we were rightfully asserting our sovereignty, and we backed down.

I request it then.

I formally request that you remove my honorary citizenship as well. You can't force those upon people.

Yes, Matt, while this whole situation is a bit upsetting, it's not right, nor is it appropriate in Avalonia, to force citizenship, even honorary, upon people.
