Nope, but I do do web design in good old H.T.M.L.

I am designing my own programming language, called Xele.
Xele will be very easy for one to use. It will have standard input/output and graphics capability. It will be well-suited for games.
Anybody can come up with a programming language, as theory. But actually proving that the language works requires writing the software to run code actually written in the language.
Currently I am writing the Xele interpreter. Basically it is a simply program: the top half of the window is where you write your code in the Xele language, and the bottom is where the code is run.
When people design a programming language, they have an objective in mind: BASIC (easy), COBOL (English-like [it requires punctuation]), and FORTRAN (math and speed). C++ is for large projects. C is for writing pretty much anything, including interpreters for other languages (but C is impractically inadequate for simple tasks such as writing a game.
I want Xele to be a language anybody can use on many different kinds of computers. Since the interpreter is being written in C#, the interpreter should be able to run on both Mac and PC.
Should Xele try to emulate English or be something more direct? What features would you like to see?

I tried programming in Binary!!! I got a book that told you how to design simple things like 2-bit wordprocessors (like notepad) and other stuff. I swear I put the wordprocessor program in correctly...but I made a spreadsheet that didn't accept anything you typed. The worst part about binary is that it's hard to check.

It would be really cool if there were a programming language that were just like writing an essay or something.

or if you can just tell the computer what u want a program for... and it makes it itself!
that would have made my programming class so much easier... i think it was... Basic... but i forgot all of it, except if-then statements... they haunt me

Yeah, I figure that if I really need a program, someone else will make it for me and I can just download it. I could program stuff if I really wanted to, but I don't cause I'm lazy and I'm perfectly fine with that!

The worst part about that story is that it can't be true.
Yes, it would be. Especially for you, since you write better than any of us here.
The Holy Grail: a computer that thinks for itself!
Yeah, programming is time-consuming and usually not worth it unless: a.) you are learning how to program, or b.) you are programming something new, clever, or otherwise revolutionary. My uncle is a physicist and he uses PowerBASIC a lot. His program costs like a 1,000 and is being sold to the army but I got a free copy. That's one more thing cool about programs: if you have a program that is necessary for something (i.e., parachute test drops) but NOBODY else makes it, you can pretty much name your price. And the Army will pay for it just like a $600 toilet.
Should Xele be more like English? I can say that it will be pretty straightforward and will use English words, but not English grammar. No brackets or parentheses or anything complicated like that will be required.
