Hm. Quite a sudden turn-around.
Can I ask what brought about this sudden change of heart?

Our cabinet is more keen on reducing conflict than I have been. It does not help us in any way to be antagonistic or blameful towards Lavalon. Diplomatic isolation and eventual withering away due to lack of citizens would not be good for us, and until recently that is where we have been headed. Diplomatic decisions are now being left up to our cabinet, which I am not a part of.

Hm...not to sound like a bitch or anything....but it's about time.
I remember scanning the posts that I was able to see in Avalonia and noticing a lot of dissent towards your decisions. Politics is about pleasing the people, not your own agenda. That's what "popular" democracy is all about.

There has been significant dissent in Avalonia against my diplomatic decisions regarding Antica and Lavalon. For example, Jon Christophe was fed up with one of these poor decisions, and just left, no questions asked. Our micro-nation is a democracy, and I no longer want to serve as the "diplomatic tyrant" of its future. It wouldn't be a very good future, for me or the other citizens.
Most of Avalonia's future lies in the members of its Cabinet, many of whom Lavalonians already know. Carson Smith is the new Kieran Bennett, friendly with many micro-nations and knowing way more about micro-national affairs than I do. He knows how to write the words that influence leaders, something I've had trouble with in Avalonia. It is a pleasure to have him serving as Minister of the Interior and temporary Foreign Minister. Christ Desir is our Minister of Security. I consider him a fellow hard-liner. It would be a mistake to have someone feeble in such an important position. I trust him with administrator access to our forums, and a recent constitutional convention has placed him at equal security clearance to the President. Brandon Sullivan is the Premier, who presides over the cabinet and makes executive decisions for the cabinet. He is also the unofficial diplomatic consulate (I hesitate to use the word ambassador, that's too much at this stage) to Antica. He has ties with Breuddwyd and Kieran, which are useful. Brandon has a keen awareness of what needs to be done in Avalonia, culturally and administratively.
The cabinet's picture of things, does not include nor require the Republic of Lavalon. The future is not intereference but cooperation on all fronts. Egotism has no place in Avalonia's future.

I talked to Kieran Bennet on MSN last night. He seems to be doing better. I told him of various Avalonian affairs, and that Sullifree left Breuddwyd, and that I would be seeking regular Breuddwydian citizenship, as well as diplomatic relations otherwise with Breuddwyd in the future.
