Chairman Smith, I believe our first order of business is to determine if the Worker's Socialist Party and That Other Party warrant a sticky thread in the Political Board.
With all respect to the members of those parties, I believe that sticky threads should be reserved for parties that meet 2 criteria: 1) the traditional 2 member policy or 2) a party that profoundly impacts the political environment of Lavalon
I don't beleive either party has impacted the Lavalon greatly. (the actual parties, not their members, who have individually impacted lavalon greatly)

Nate, do you want to reccomend the L.D.P., T.O.P., and P.B.P. for sticky threads? Even though T.O.P. doesn't meet the traditional 2-member requirement, it is still a significant opposition party, as opposed to the Socialist Party, which is essentially a branch of the P.B.P.
Edited to change the subject line

hehehe.... u silly person... thinking untrue things about the Socialists. actually, i don't think the TOP has done anything to merit a sticky. They exist... yes... and are not Bagelcratican or Socialist...ok. That's hardly an accomplishment (no offense Jon ). The PBP and LDP should maintain their stickies.

Yes, P.B.P. and L.D.P. definitely should get them. Okay, for now I'll agree with you about T.O.P. I still am not big on the Socialists getting a sticky thread. What say you?

Okay fine. The status quo is maintained, and the L.D.P. and P.B.P. shall maintain their sticky threads and no new ones shall be given.

As representative of the Socialist Party of Lavalon, I hereby officially request a seat on the Standing Committee.
With no Standing Committee in place, I officially declare the Socialist Party the only member of the Standing Committee.
First order of business? Let us reformat the rules for sticky threads. Currently, the rules state that any party with 2+ members are the only ones with sticky threads. I would like to see the law changed so it is based on merit.
As a nation, we have an obligation to maintain the law. Until these laws are reformed, the Socialist Party is the only one who can legally have a sticky thread.
I ask if anyone would be objectioning to the enforcement of the law as it stands until it is reformed. Would anyone have a problem with losing their sticky threads for not meeting the required quota?

was that a law? i thought the law said 2+ parties were only on the Standing Committee... and the committee decided what parties could have sticky threads. thats why when the PBP was the only party with 2 i gave everyone a sticky... so no one would hate the PBP anymore... but that didnt work... and now its dead... bastards...
i dont care... do whatever

I don't know if it was a law or a de facto custom, but the standing committee only has the ability to award sticky threads in accordance with that law/custom. But if it's not a law, then there's no problem. But the SP is shooting to the top! ;D
It's amazing how things have just flipped around with Xon gone....honestly.....wow.
But yeah, I think we should establish a merit system of sorts for political parties based on their agendas, what's been passed from it, etc. etc. Find out what parties are doing things for Lavalon and what parties aren't. Popular parties can still make up the Standing Committee, but I think sticky threads should be awarded by merit.
