Here is the Charter:
1. The Bagelcratican Pro-Cookie Party shall be a chartered political organization within the Republic of Lavalon. It shall have the full rights accorded to political organizations within the Republic.
2. A Chairperson, who will serve until a 2/3 majority of party members vote to replace them, will administer the Party. The Chairperson may create administrative positions as they see necessary. They will have the responsibility to be the public spokesperson of the party and to preside over party conferences and debates.
3. This Charter and the Party’s Platform may be amended with only a simple majority of registered party members.
Our New and Improved Traditional Platform:
1: That at all state and social gatherings of any respectable nation there shall be juice, cookies, and bagels.
2: That the juice, cookies, and bagels shall be free to all those who attend the gathering.
3: That there should be an assortment of bagel and cookie varieties and juice flavors that appeal to a majority of those in attendance.
4: That iced tea shall be an alternative to juice. Milk may be served with the cookied if prefered. Coffee is an alternative as well.
5: That all respectable nations are pro-choice, that is they are supportive of an individual's right to choose their favorite bagel, cookie and juice flavor.
6: No person should be forced to pay an excessive amount for bagels, cookies or juice outside of state and social gatherings.
7: As cookies, bagels, tea, and juice are essential for a nutritious diet, no tax should be applied to these products when sold to the general public.
8: That Lavalon will remain devoid of baseball biases and no one team shall be favored over another.
Our "Real" Platform:
1: The government should be committed to pursuing and maintaining its current constitutional system of Basic Laws.
2: The government should be committed to peace and strengthening relations with all allies and opponents.
3: The government should be committed to protecting both the physical environment and the virtual environment.
4: The government should be committed to protecting natural rights of all humans and working to detect abuse of natural rights both internally and externally.
5: The government should not hinder the naturally developing culture of Lavalon.
6: The government should not enact unnecessary, impractical, excessively invasive, and unenforceable laws.
7. That the government should remain in a consistant location. A secondary location should be maintained for the event of a disaster.
8. Limited government involvment in "officializing" elements of culture. The government should maintain symbols to represent the republic such as seals and flags, but those symbols must have a significant effect on Lavalon at the time of their adoption.
9. Government should allow, but not necessarily encourage, the practice of multiple citizenships.
10. No government involvement in the personal affairs of citizens. This is limited to actions that will harm others, or cause serious injury to oneself.
