(^^That way... my thread title doesn't reveal anything!!!)
Anyways, in light of the Commonwealth that has just been revealed between Babkha and various other nations, Antica is creating an alliance and was wondering if Lavalon would be interested. This may help Lavalon in various ways as each nation would watch out for each other. Each nation would provide mutual defence and it will involve foreign policy coordination.
Any thoughts?

very clever pres. neem ;D
im behind this. the Babkhan Commonwealth... is more of an empire, with Babkha controling the member states. Antica's alliance, built through a Treaty (there will be none or very little actual government institutions) will form a counter to the Babkhan empire, to keep it in check, so to say. the foreign policy thing is coordination... the Commonwealth takes over the foreign affairs of members... in the Alliance, members will do foreign affairs seperatly, but keep each other notified of major advances and will adopt similar foreign polices for major diplomatic events.

Excellent, excellent. I would support Lavalon's entry into this Alliance.

The Babkhan commonwealth is actually a merger between Babkha, Aerlig, Alteria, and some other nations that I don't remember. The Head of State of the commonweath will rotate among the heads of states of the member nations, and the member nations will retain some local autonomy. Thus, it is not Babkha controlling the other nations.
I wouldn't mind us joining the Antican commonwealth, but...don't we not participate in recwars, which joining this commonwealth would pretty much force us to?

Nah, not really. I don't think we'll be forced to recwar.

Ok, so Delphi said that we don't have to recwar, just general support would be appreciated.

well... the delegates have all meet. outlook not so good, a few of the delegates have concerns over the amount of sovereignty needed to forfeit to make this worthwhile. too much sovereignty forfeited will defeat the purpose of the alliance, while not enough will just make this another YAMO. we're discussing ways to find a happy medium, but... i think we might be better off signing a mutual defense treaty singly with antica, ya know?

As stupid as this sounds... what in the world does YAMO stand for?

Yet Another Micronational Organization
basically... when micronations get together to established a UN-like thing... some "veteran" micronationalists have branded them as YAMO's since in their infinite wisdom of all things micronational, micro-orgs always fail because they have no real purpose, blah blah blah...

OH! That makes sense.

Well, in my opinion, YAMOs don't work. The answer, as has been proven with the I.A., is a tighter organization.
