Cultural Edicts of the Regent or Council (CER/CEC)

These are sort of like acts, but instead decisions of culture made by either this COUNCIL or the REGENT.

Why do we need this? To keep things organized since we aren't using a Culture Act anymore.

Post the Edicts here, indicating if they were self-passed by the Regent or passed by the Cultural Policy Council. Use the abbreviations CER & CEC for this purpose.

CONCERNING THE PROPERTY RIGHTS FOR THE PROPOSED SEAL, AND OFFICAL WEBSITE.

I, Jonathan Hicks, also known by the name of Jonathan Christophe, hereby give any and all property rights concerning my creation of the proposed Lavaloni Official Seal, and the design of the current Lavaloni Website, to the orginization known as the Republic of Lavalon.

Cultural Edict

Regarding the Reestablishment of the Order of Lavalon

Whereas, through the periods of its existence, our nation of Lavalon has found it necessary and fitting to honor those citizens who have offered notable service to the nation;

Whereas these honored citizens once were, in former periods, united in formal solidarity;

I, Jonathan Christophe, first Regent and Defender of the Republic of Lavalon, with highest regard to the history and culture of our nation, hereby restore the Order of Lavalon to honor, to be governed by this Cultural Edict as follows:

1. The Order of Lavalon shall be secular in nature, its members shall be united by a shared selfless commitment to the nation.

2. The Regent Defender of Lavalon shall be Master of the Order, and shall hold exclusive rights to induct persons into the Order.

3. The Order shall consist exclusively of citizens of the Republic who have served to the greater benefit of the nation.

4. The Order shall not confer knighthood, its recipients being known only as members or recipients of the Order of Lavalon.

5. No member shall be compelled to swear an oath, adhere to any secret code or agenda, nor shall any oath, agenda or further code be created or permitted.

6. The Master of the Order, or a majority of its members, may expel one of its fellow members for reasons deemed grave and substantial.

7. The insignia of the Order shall be the Latin letter "L" encompassed by a wreath of olive leaves, suspended by a green ribbon.

8. Recipients of the Order may signify their membership with the initials O.L.

Cultural Edict

Regarding the Reestablishment of the Most Noble Order of the Eucalypt

Whereas, through the periods of its existence, our nation of Lavalon has found it necessary and fitting to acknowledge and honor those who have shown unwavering integrity in the pursuit of what they know to be right;

Whereas these honored citizens and friends alike once were, in former periods, united within a bond of friendship, solidarity and chivalry according to ancient custom and venerable tradition;

I, Jonathan Christophe, first Regent and Defender of the Republic of Lavalon, with highest regard to the history and culture of our nation, hereby restore the Most Noble Order of Eucalypt to honor, to be governed by this Cultural Edict as follows:

1. The Order of Lavalon shall be secular in nature, its members shall be united by a shared selfless commitment to the micronational cause.

2. The Regent Defender of Lavalon shall be Grand Master of the Order, and shall hold exclusive rights to induct persons into the Order.

3. There shall be three classes of Knights of the Most Noble order of the Eucalypt, namely those of Knight, Knight Stranger and the exalted rank of Knight Commander; The feminine forms of these titles shall be Dame, Dame Stranger, and Dame Commander. Citizens of the republic shall be enrolled as Knights, foreigners as Knights Stranger. The title of Knight Commander shall only be given, with great care and respect, to members who shall personally assist the Grand Master in administration of the Order.

4. No member shall be compelled to swear an oath, adhere to any secret code or agenda, nor shall any oath, agenda or further code be created or permitted.

5. The Grand Master of the Order, or a majority of its members, may expel one of its fellow members for reasons deemed grave and substantial.

6. Membership of the Most Noble Order of the Eucalypt shall confer knighthood, members may use the title Sir or Dame. Knights or Dames may signify their membership with the initials O.E., Commanders may use the initials K.C.O.E. or D.C.O.E.

7. The insignia of the Order shall be two Eucalypt leaves and a flowering gum nut of the same stem, suspended by a red ribbon.

I, Jonathan Christophe, first Regent and Defender of the Republic of Lavalon, with highest regard to the history and culture of our nation, hereby indivisibly join the Order of Lavalon and the Most Noble Order of the Eucalypt to form the Lavalonian Order of the Eucalypt, to be provisionally governed by this Cultural Edict as follows:

1. The Lavalonian Order of the Eucalypt shall be secular in nature, its members shall be united by a shared selfless commitment to the history and future of the Lavalonian culture and heritage.

2. Jonathan Christophe, independent of his station as Regent Defender of the Republic of Lavalon, and irrespective of any micronational citizenship, shall serve as provisional Grand Master of the Order until the rules of its organization can be created and ratified.

3. The provisional Grand Master shall hold exclusive rights to induct any person into the Order, irrespective of their micronational citizenship.

4. Membership of the Lavalonian Order of the Eucalypt shall confer knighthood, members may use the title Sir or Dame. Knights may signify their membership with the initials K.L.E.

5. A number of Knights, no less then 4, but no more then 8, shall be inducted into the Order within a week of this Cultural Edicts' posting in the Cultural Policy Council of the Republic of Lavalon.

6. This body of Knights, which shall include the provisional Grand Master, shall together create the rules for the organization of this new Order, to be ratified by a majority of the body at a future date.
