Undersecretary of State
POSITION FILLED
The Undersecretary of State will rank directly under the Secretary of State. The principal duty of the Undersecretary will be to coordinate the affairs of ambassadors. Additionally, when the Secretary is absent, the Undersecretary will serve as Acting Secretary of State.
While experience in micronational diplomacy is not necessary, we would like someone who is well-established in the micronational community and is already participating on the discussion forums of other nations. Dual citizenship is an added plus. The Undersecretary of State must have a regular online presence in Lavalon and should post at least once a week.

Undersecretaries of State for foreign language communication
The State Department is actively seeking Lavalonian citizens who can speak a foreign language well enough to communicate with native speakers to represent Lavalon to nations whose primary language is not English. These undersecretaries must be prepared to be engaging in treaty and other negotiations, as they will likely be the only Lavalonian fluent in whatever language they speak. Not only that, they should be willing to translate for other State Department employees.

Personal Assistant to the Secretary of State
The main duty of this assistant will be to act as a courier for the Secretary. They will be given a statement and will have to post it in several forums. Therefore, we would prefer someone well-established in the micronational community. Knowledge of one or more foreign languages is preferred but not required.
